Great space, very well equipped kitchen. Shower powerful and hot and large bath. No noise at night except birds, owl and resident donkeys. dark skies ideal for star gazing. Beautiful buildings. Good location for visiting places. However the whole place needs a big deep clean. Spiders in everyroom and kitchen cupboards ( was even bitten ) Cobwebs and dust very evident and visable, behind wardrobe, behind washing machine, corners etc, all very accessible with a hoover. We used the hoover once but it smelt so bad once was enough. The place smelt damp & musty and even our clean clothes felt damp. The heating did not work by turning up the thermostat as instructed to. It definitely was not on 'auto' but must have been on 'timed' but instructions clearly said do not touch the boiler. Hairdryer is a fire risk as so clogged up with grime & dust it kept cutting out, so again couldnt be used.. The outside table/bench is very old and dirty, especially when damp and marks your clothes.

The Nook was a comfortable accommodation with everything you needed or wanted. The decor & furnishings have seen better days but not bad enough to spoil our stay with. There was a couple of things that could have been better. There was a "polite notice" asking not to touch the boiler controls & operate the heating by the thermostat on the living room wall. That seemed to be hit & miss. The main door fitted very badly, you could see daylight between it & the frame. Would we use again? Maybe, but not in the winter.

Excellent stay. Quiet location. Well equipped cottage. Location is convenient for both Devon and Cornwall. Very reasonable price. Much appreciated, thank you.
