Guests consistently praise the comfortable living areas, extensive outdoor space, hot tub, and games room. The rural location offers beautiful views and excellent walking opportunities, with Hartland village nearby. The owners are noted for their helpfulness and welcoming touches. Some minor issues mentioned include occasional flies, a few tired mattresses, and the bumpy access road, but these do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience.
The property is frequently described as very clean and well-presented, with only rare minor comments about flies, which are typical for a rural setting.
The rural, secluded location is highly valued by most guests for its tranquillity and proximity to scenic walks and Hartland village, though the access road is noted as bumpy and remote for some.

Facilities such as the hot tub, games room, and well-equipped kitchen are praised. Some guests suggest minor improvements to kitchen equipment, games room items, and maintenance, but these are outweighed by positive feedback.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside. Thanks to our hosts and for the lovely home cooked cake - it was a real treat. The garden was perfect for the kids to run around and play football/cricket. The walk to the local village across the fields was really enjoyable and we were lucky enough to see the annual Hartland Carnival parade,. We also enjoyed the Anchor pub for lunch and the local pottery and coffee shop both in Hartland. The patio seating and fire pit was also really good and we enjoyed many evening sitting out watching the sun set. The view of the Eclipse and the meteor shower was an added bonus of our holiday. Car parking on site is good and we had several Sainsbury's food deliveries - despite the rural location they found us ok, would recommend as this saved a lot of hassle. A few minor things to mention and non of these spoilt our stay, but worth mentioning for future: - the kitchen needed more equipment to cater for feeding 9 people such as - pyrex mixing bowls, serving dishes for the table, weigh scales (the ones provide did not work), more chopping boards (preferably not wooden) and tea spoons!!; Flys in the kitchen - I know its the countryside.....!!!; hot tub maintenance - was a little cloudy to start with; table tennis table needs attention - feet levelling and joining both halves together. The shower in the Hay loft was little cool, not sure why as the rest of the house was fine. So overall , we had lovely stay and enjoyed the local village and countryside. Would defiantly recommend.

We greatly enjoyed the house and garden. We ranged in age from 2 to 80 years old and all had a wonderful time. Kitchen equipment was a little sparse in view of the potential occupancy (12, we were 9). A few more large oven dishes and pans would be welcome. We took Bialetti coffee machines which of course don't work on induction hobs so needed another pan as a conductor. As the oldest, with poor mobility, I needed a bit of help with the top steps from the drive so a rail or even just a stake at the top would have made me independent. We loved the locality and the coastal scenery. I loved Hartland Quay and walkers had great hikes along the coastal path. We were less impressed with busy hubs like Westward Ho!.Highly recommended.
