Each property has received a gold award from The Green Tourism Business Scheme. Guests are free to enjoy the owners 19 acres of land, including 10 acres of nature walks and picnic spots. Anglers can enjoy some coarse fishing on the well-stocked fishing lakes, and children will love the play area.
The wide golden sands of Bude and Widemouth Bay are just 10 miles away, with excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walks, along with shopping and leisure facilities. Holsworthy, has a good selection of local shops and supermarkets, along with a leisure centre and weekly market. The market towns of Launceston and Okehampton are a short drive away, and the rugged coastlines of North Devon and Cornwall are just 9 miles away, where there is beautiful scenery and excellent surfing opportunities. Coastal and country walking, golf, surfing, fishing, horse riding and cycling are all available close by, and for family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure Park are not to be missed. Bluebell Lodge is a lovely place to stay, set in a beautiful location with lots of places to visit nearby. We had a really enjoyable holiday and found it peaceful, relaxing, and a great base for exploring the area.Kizzy, the owner, is fabulous and always happy to help. The welcoming bottle of bubbles was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.There were just a couple of small things worth mentioning — if you’re a larger person, I’d recommend bringing your own bath towels as we found them a little on the small side. A few areas could do with a little extra attention to cobwebs and dust, and the shower door runner in the double room could use a bit of maintenance.That said, none of these minor issues affected our stay or put us off returning. We had such a lovely time and would happily come back again. We’re already hoping that next time we’ll spot the deer, rabbits and geese again — they were such a special part of the experience!

Fairly large, light and airy chalet, with nice artwork and a pretty outlook. Well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine and has a sort of private balcony to go out to sit on. Fuel shortages and surge in prices was the only downside of my holiday as I was worried not to go too far.
