Thank you for a wonderful stay at Maggie's Place. We felt immediately at home from the second we arrived and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The setting is incredibly quiet and peaceful, you hardly notice a working farm next door, but also close enough to local towns and places for days out. The cottage itself is well appointed, with everything we needed for a week long stay, beautifully presented, and refreshingly genuine in its dog friendliness. The country lanes on approach to the cottage are a little bumpy in places, but still manageable. The host, Jane, was very proactive and welcoming in all her communications and meeting the little resident dogs was delightful! We would not hesitate to recommend Maggie's Place and hope our first visit won't be our last!

Well set up and comfortable accommodation, well stocked with everything you need for your stay. Modern Smart TV recently added. Contact from owner was excellent and the welcome pack was very much appreciated. Got a bit chilly at night and the heating worked well. A very nice bungalow type property. Just a few of the not so good things. As the mobile phone signal was poor, this is in most of Devon and Cornwall, we hoped to rely on the WIFI well the MIFI that is offered in Maggie’s Place, that was extremely hit and miss and most of the time not useable. The only other thing are some of the roads to the property. They are full of deep potholes and they are down single country roads, the accommodation is very rural. The road to Holsworthy was a much better option and it’s 7 miles to Holsworthy from the property. My dog had use of a fully enclosed garden which he loved. Local walks are really good as well. Overall we had a great stay at Maggie’s Place, would stay again but would hope the MIFI could be improved, if that doesn’t bother you then it is a perfect place to stay. Nice and cosy and beautifully presented.

Had three nights and four days at Maggies. Jane and Michael with their two little dogs were so welcoming, a lovely introduction and Thankyou for the human and doggie welcome pack! Our two whippets loved to play with your terriers. The cottage is beautiful and decor is just so warming! Everything you need in there and if you don’t want to eat out all facilities are there too. Very peaceful and lovely little walks locally. We went to Bude and there are lovely walks, we did around 15km, the dogs loved it. Unfortunately, we wasn’t blessed with dry weather the other days but found a lovely pub for Sunday lunch that is dog friendly at the Bickford Arms. Hosts so accommodating and even made sure we had torches just in case of a power cut. Thankyou so much, P.S. Wizard loved the dog door stop, had to put it up high in the end 😂✨
