Use the two-ring gas hob and grill to rustle up breakfast or an evening meal, keep drinks and ingredients chilled in the evaporator fridge, then gather around the dining table and enjoy your meal beneath the trees. As darkness falls, light the fire pit and settle around the flames, perhaps cooking something on the grill while fairy lights and solar lanterns begin to glow around you. When it is time to freshen up, head to the private shower cubicle for a refreshing rinse after a day outdoors, while the WC completes the simple setup. With no WiFi, Prudence gives you the chance to put your phone away and properly switch off, spending your evenings listening to the sounds of the woodland and watching the stars appear overhead.

A delightfully rural village in the heart of West Devon’s green and undulating countryside. Surrounded by lush meadows, high hedgerows, wooded valleys and abundant wildlife, the village and area is popular with those visitors seeking to experience a true taste of country life. Roadford Lake with its sailing, fishing and visitors’ centre is just 4 miles, while the rolling surf, night life and sandy beaches at the closest resort of Bude, are within 20 miles. The RHS Garden at Rosemoor, the Dartington Glass Factory, and the rugged tors and open spaces of Dartmoor also make superb days out and can all be reached in under 40 minutes. If heading for Dartmoor look out for the pretty moorland villages of Belstone and Sticklepath - they will take your breath away. Those seeking a real countryside experience away from the bustle of modern living need look no further.

Children’s den beneath (bring sleeping bags / blankets).

Camping mats and pillows including pillow cases are provided along with towels for all guests and the main bed is fully made up.

Separate shower cubicle with walk-in shower and compost WC.

A conventional fridge, along with an extension lead is available for guest use, situated in the garage/shed adjacent to the main house for your convenience.

Note: Prudence is set within a secluded, nature-managed site where grass and wildflowers are allowed to thrive, While paths and the area immediately around the caravan are kept clear, this remains a wild space -The caravan is positioned on decking, which may be slippery when wet, and access is via steps.

Guests should also be comfortable climbing in and out of the double bed.

Lighting across the site is solar and deliberately minimal to preserve the exceptionally dark skies, which can make moving around at night more challenging.

Portable lighting is provided, and guests are advised to bring a torch or head torch
