Guests say

Southlake Barn receives glowing feedback for its immaculate presentation, cosy atmosphere, and welcoming hosts. Guests consistently praise the peaceful location on the edge of Dartmoor, with excellent walking opportunities straight from the door. The barn is well-equipped, stylishly decorated, and dog-friendly, with many thoughtful touches noted. While a few mention the bathroom is narrow and the shower space tight, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with special appreciation for the warm hospitality and attention to detail. The property is highly recommended for a relaxing countryside break.

Cleanliness is repeatedly highlighted, with guests describing the barn as spotlessly clean, immaculate, and beautifully presented throughout their stay.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to Dartmoor, peaceful setting, and easy access to walks and local amenities, making it ideal for exploring the area.

Guests find the barn cosy, warm, and comfortable, especially appreciating the wood burner. A few mention the bathroom and shower space as narrow, but this does not detract significantly from overall comfort.

Facilities are described as excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen, spacious living areas, and thoughtful amenities for both guests and pets. Maintenance is also praised, with everything in good working order.

Many guests mention thoughtful touches such as homemade jam, fresh bread, flowers, and treats for dogs. While these gifts are much appreciated, please note they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Great holiday home with all creature comforts. Great hosts, very friendly but not over encroaching. The weather was not on our side too much during our stay, but this did not distract from us relaxing.Would be happy to revisit again in the future.
