Homemade scones clotted cream and jam on arrival so nice. Fresh wild flowers a really thoughtful touch. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. You do need a car. We have just returned from a wonderful New Year break at The Smithy. This cottage is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.! It’s welcoming, cosy, comfortable, & fabulously clean and well equipped~ a complete home from home. The heating was robust and perfect. Comfy bed and seating, very nice short room~ absolutely great use of space and every detail well thought out and maximised. …AND, IMPORTANTLY.! The wonderful hosts; Sally and Christopher, so warm, friendly, informative and helpful. Thank you for the grand welcome pack of cream tea, Christmas cake, Prosecco and even milk in the fridge.! The Smithy is an absolute gem in a perfect location with lots to see and do nearby at whatever pace suits…however, the time spent indoors is also a wonderful treat. We so loved the proximity to the moor and your woods. We feel absolutely restored and very highly recommended this gorgeous little retreat. Thank you so much Sally, Christopher (and Kenzo ) . We are already looking forward to returning. ❤️🥰🍄🦔🐿️🦉❤️
