After your Dartmoor walks, snuggle down beside the wood burning stove in the bright living room, before heading upstairs for a good night's sleep in one of three bedrooms, all en suite. Behind the cottage you have your own private enclosed garden with granite table and bench, or enjoy a drink in the little pub garden to the front which has views over countryside to the moors. This is a perfect place for keen walkers, being on the ancient Mariners Way and adjoining a beautiful area of Dartmoor. The moorland village of South Zeal and town of Chagford offer a variety of welcoming inns, and Okehampton town with its cinema, leisure centre, cycle track and heritage railway is only five miles away. Moorhaven is a fantastic base for enjoying Dartmoor and traditional Devon life.

A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, Chagford is small in size but is packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure.
