Magna Cottage is a 300-year-old self catering holiday rental nestling in a secluded valley at the end of a no-through-road on the Cranborne Chase, a mile from Ashmore in Dorset.
This pretty holiday cottage, a detached thatched flint property, is in an ideal location for an outdoor break in Dorset, with plenty of walking opportunities.
From the cottage there is direct access to forest walks and mountain bike trails and it is conveniently located for the Wessex Ridgeway walk. It has good gourmet pubs in the area and is a good "get-away-from-it-all" location.
Additional Information:
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). Secure fencing around the property.
A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Experience was slightly disappointed by the kitchen size being a little too small for catering for up to 8 people which we found to be quite challenging. The kitchen dining table space would be more practical instead for a work top height breakfast bar/island with pedestals. Unfortunately issues with the WiFi meant having to accommodate a visit from a engineer on the first day of staying there, how ever the house keeper did offer to await the engineer visit if plans for the day were to be disrupted. So this was just an unfortunate inconvenience. Finally, the smart speaker provided in the dining room - would have been nice if it actually worked. Other than these minor negatives. Overall it was quite a pleasant and relaxing stay in quite a lovely location
