Ideal for marking a special occasion or accommodating two families together, this four-bedroom, semi-detached house sleeps up to eight guests and also welcomes four dogs. Situated near Lower Nyland in the Blackmore Vale, 4.5 miles from Gillingham, it has fishing lakes on-site and is well positioned for long country hikes and visits to Sherborne and Shaftesbury.
Follow the shared driveway to approach this impressive house, then step into the spacious hall. Amble into the inviting, country-style kitchen/diner to whip up hearty meals for your group and to pull a chair up to one of the two large tables in here. In the evenings, gather together in the bright lounge to play games or watch TV. In the winter months, light the wood burner, which is set into a brick chimney breast, to create a cosy ambience. There’s also a utility room and separate WC. Climb the stairs to the first floor of the property, where the family bathroom, a twin bedroom, a bunk room and two doubles, one with an en-suite shower room and the other with an en-suite bathroom and dressing room, are located. Take in the beautiful rural vistas from the windows upstairs or venture out into the large garden, which its sizeable stretches of lawn, to soak up the scenery. Find generous parking at the house.
Go walking, cycling or fishing from your front door on this holiday. Make a trip to the small market town of Shaftesbury, 8 miles away, to go shopping, dine out and see the famous, steep cobbled street of Gold Hill. Head 9 miles in the other direction to Sherborne to visit the farmers’ market, browse in galleries and see the abbey.
