Guests say

Mulberry Cottage is a charming, characterful retreat in a peaceful rural setting, ideal for walkers and dog owners. Guests praise its cosy atmosphere, beautiful garden, and proximity to scenic walks and local pubs. The cottage is clean and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and lovely period features. Some guests note that heating can be challenging in colder months and the shower facilities could be improved, but overall, it offers a delightful base for exploring the Purbeck area.

Most guests found the cottage very clean and tidy, with only occasional minor cleanliness issues mentioned.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and excellent access to walks, local attractions, and public transport.

The cottage is described as cosy with a comfortable bed, but some guests found it cold in winter and noted low doorways and dated furniture.

Facilities are generally adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and wood burner, but several guests mention issues with heating, shower pressure, and some maintenance needs.

Guests noted the absence of a welcome pack or gifts, and some would have appreciated clearer instructions for appliances. Please note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.

Beautiful little cottage. Views to the sea and the wood burner was so cosy. Very high up but ok drive to Corfe Castle which we love. Studland bay is ideal for dog walks on the beach. Lovely few days away

Mulberry Cottage is qwerky and quaint but not a cosy cottage in winter.Positives include the gorgeous location, a well stocked kitchen, a big bath and comfy bed. And a lovely outdoor space for summer. The negative is the heating. There is a huge fireplace and burner, which supposedly heats the water and radiators. However, this only works if the fire is roaring hot which we found impossible to achieve due to the size of the burner and amount of logs needed (none provided, we bought our own). The alternative heating is a selection of electric free-standing radiators, convection heaters and hot-air fans which eat up the electricity (which is calculated on a smart meter and you pay for in addition to your booking.)The owners were prompt and helpful when contacted, but ultimately we struggled to feel warm and cosy...this would make a great summer retreat though.
