I think we just came to Walnut Farm a couple of weeks too late. The location was beautiful and lovely and peaceful, but the weather had just turned colder and we were freezing by early morning. The separate room with 2 singles was especially cold without the wood burner or an electric blanket which was much appreciated in the main space. We hadn't realised we'd have to pay extra for additional wood which we really needed and there was no obvious way to pay. The deck outside the yurt got quite slippy with the rain and with no lights after dark it we as tricky navigating to the kitchen. I wished we'd taken a decent torch. The entrance way was also very dark and difficult to navigate in the car. We were a bit surprised there wasn't really any information provided (even about fire safety) and we only coincidentally bumped into a member of staff briefly on our arrival. In the summer I think this place would be fab, but it just felt like we came too late in the season when everything was a bit tired, shutting down and not really set up for a chilly autumn break.
