Guests say

The Barn is a spacious and comfortable cottage with stunning countryside views, ideal for exploring the Jurassic Coast. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting, warm welcome, and thoughtful touches like a welcome basket. While the kitchen size and access road potholes are noted, the property's charm and proximity to local amenities and beaches make it a recommended stay.

Guests consistently describe The Barn as clean and spotless, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.

The Barn's location is praised for its quiet, rural setting with panoramic views, and proximity to local beaches and attractions, despite some concerns about the steep access road and lack of walkable amenities.

Reviewers find The Barn to be warm, cosy, and comfortable, particularly highlighting the comfortable beds and spacious living areas.

While the property is well-equipped and offers ample space, some guests mention a need for updates and maintenance, and the small kitchen area is a recurring point of critique. The lack of a washing machine, despite being advertised, also affects this score.

Guests are touched by the welcome basket and other kind gestures, although it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a wonderful Christmas Break in this beautiful barn. It’s well equipped, really spacious and it was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We loved the extra touches like the doggie pack, the basket of treats on arrival and the Christmas card. The kitchen area is small but has everything you need and the rest of the barn being so big absolutely makes up for this. The views are stunning and all the local beaches are within an easy drive. The only thing we had trouble with was the front door not shutting properly and it being quite cold when the temperature dropped, otherwise I would have given it a 5 star. I would absolutely recommend it to others. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

The Barn was in a lovely location away from it all. It was warm, comfortable and clean. The beds were particularly wonderful and views out of the window really lovely. We managed to cook simple dinners in the small kitchen which was well equipped. The owners left us a lovely bottle of wine, some cookies and fresh milk which was really kind. However, the steep drive down to the property needs to be resurfaced at the top end. Also, although the garden provided an outside space for the dogs, we still needed to drive somewhere for a proper walk. However spectacular walks are within a short distance so it wasn't too much of a problem. On the whole, a lovely relaxing break, thank you.
