Positioned right on the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, Burton Bradstock is a picture postcard historical village, full of beautiful thatched cottages, a local village store, post office and two long established public houses, which are regarded as serving mouth-watering provincially caught fish and distinctive local ales.
Bramble Cottage is one of the oldest in this beautiful village, having been built some 350 years ago. It has undergone a comprehensive restoration project, seeing a new kitchen, bathroom, furnished with new furniture and decorated throughout. With its three bedrooms and a contemporary kitchen. The village itself boasts 16th and 17th century thatched cottages as well as two pubs, a shop and a Post Office, the glistening Hive Beach is a wonderful spot to spend the summer days with the magnificent cliffs as a backdrop, there is also a lovely café to sit and relax in, once a year the Spring Tide Festival is held which would be worth lining up your holiday with! There are many attractions and activities to enjoy around here, with the stunning coastal resort of Weymouth making for an excellent day out. Alternatively, head inland to the county town of Dorchester and Yeovil for great shopping, architecture, eating and drinking.

The cottage is well maintained, comfortable beds, plenty of room downstairs and a well equipped kitchen. It has a lovely secure garden round the back which was great for the dogs. While it is on the main road through the village it wasnât a problem, there is a little gated area at the front door which helps crossing the road. Itâs a perfect place to explore the Dorset coast. We ate at the three horseshoes just across the road, very good. Fish and chips from Longs in Bridport great and a takeaway from Sundorbon Indian restaurant also in Bridport was excellent. We visited many beaches and some great walks with amazing views. Everywhere dog friendly too. Thank you for a perfect stay in such a beautiful cottage.

My only thing to mention is the curtain rail on the living room window comes away from the wall and we could have done with more pegs for the washing! Thatâs only nit picking though. We loved Bramble Cottage and have already booked again for next year!

It is so comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. We were a party of 5, 4 adults, a toddler and 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. It is beautifully furnished throughout and the beds were exceptionally comfortable! Lovely garden too, well kept and great for dogs, toddler and the rest of us. Loved the wooden loungers. The road is busy so we had to be extra careful crossing with dogs and our granddaughter but we always managed to park both cars opposite the cottage. 2 lovely pubs really close and good Post Office/ farmshop with good range of food. Lovely beaches nearby especially Cogden which is extensive and uncrowded. We would definitely love to come back.
