Guests say

Little Berwick Cottage in Burton Bradstock, Dorset, is a charming property with a beautiful garden, offering a cosy and warm atmosphere. It is well-placed for exploring the coast and local attractions, with comfortable bedrooms and a well-stocked kitchen. Guests have enjoyed the rural setting and the character of the cottage, making it a lovely choice for a holiday retreat.

Cleanliness has been a concern for some guests, with reports of mould, unclean kitchen utensils, and cobwebs. However, fresh bedding and towels were appreciated. The property may benefit from a more thorough cleaning regime.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its proximity to nice places, beaches, shops, and restaurants. Its rural setting offers peace and quiet, with fantastic views, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing holiday.

The cottage provides a comfortable stay with cosy living spaces, a warm atmosphere, and flexible bedroom arrangements. Some guests found the beds and seating comfortable, while others noted issues with low sofas and a high bed that was tricky for an elderly guest.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample dining space. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as problematic showers, a small kitchen for larger groups, and a need for updates to some appliances and fixtures.

While some guests mentioned a welcome pack with tea, coffee, and biscuits, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of thoughtful gestures across all stays. As such, while appreciated, these gifts should not be expected for every visit.

We had been left a delicious hamper with tea, coffee and biscuits from the local area and a pint of milk in the fridge. A really lovely touch. The sitting room had plenty of seating for 6 people. The bedrooms were lovely, and comfortable beds with really nice pillows and duvets. The location was perfect. We did a fantastic walk from the cottage to the beach and back via a lovely restaurant called the Lemon Tree where we had lunch. The only negatives were that the cottage could have been cleaner and the electric shower was terrible. There was clump of hair in one of the bedrooms. A dirty cleaning cloth on the landing, a sock left in a bedroom and a sticky mark on the sofa - maybe from a dog or small child? If the shower was replaced and it was a bit cleaner then we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Had read previous comments about cleanliness which in our opinion were completely unjustified. Our only comment would be the lack of a broom/vacuum cleaner. Would return.

We have had a lovely long weekend with family visiting areas around Burton Bradstock. The cottage was lovely and warm. The welcome pack was enjoyed by all. We hope to return in warmer weather so we can spend more time in the garden and appreciate the views.
