Located on the outskirts of the beautiful Dorset village of Shipton Gorge in the Bride Valley and surrounded by beautiful rolling hills. This comfortable bungalow is a perfect base for couples or families.
The accommodation is all ground-floor with two double bedrooms (ensuite to master) and one twin bedroom.A large fitted kitchen (refurbished in 2022) with breakfast bar opening onto the dining room. Spend your time relaxing and chatting with your loved ones in the lounge.
The property boasts a large, enclosed rear garden perfect for a picnic or a game of cricket with stunning views of Dorset's rolling hills. In winter you may cosy up in front of the wood-burning stove and just enjoy the views through the patio doors from the sitting area.
The village of Shipton Gorge is rich in history with pretty lanes and traditional cottages, a church that is was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. Explore the lovely village which offers a lot of walks, with an abundance of footpaths and bridleways then take a break in the New Inn, run by locals and offering delicious food.
The nearest beach is just a short drive away in the coastal village of Burton Bradstock and is the home to the loved-by-locals Hive Beach Café serving café staples to tasty fish dishes in a stunning location. Jurassic coast is dotted with pretty seaside villages such as West Bexington, West Bay, Abbotsbury. A great day out would be exploring the village of Abbotsbury with mute swan Sanctuary, Sub-tropical gardens and beautiful abbey, winding pretty lanes with thatched cottages, it’s truly a delightful place.
