Suitable for two adults, or a family with children, delightful Swan Cottage is a bright and stylishly bijou holiday retreat, which sits at the heart of Silverlake, a luxury private development situated close to the county town of Dorchester.
Bijou Swan Cottage is the perfect retreat for a romantic getaway, relaxing break, or an activity holiday for couples or a small family. The property is accessed under the crescent archway to the front door and entrance lobby, and the attractive south-facing accommodation offers a bright open-plan sitting area and kitchen with dining space, plus a king-size bedroom with luxury Tempur mattress and en-suite shower room, all situated on the first floor. The dual aspect windows and vaulted ceilings create an airy and relaxing atmosphere, and a peaceful space. Sliding french doors lead out to the generous balcony, where you can enjoy relaxing and taking in the great views to Beaumont Lake, with the Pine Ridge and Dorset countryside beyond.
On the ground floor you will find a bunk bedroom, which is suitable for children only - please note that first floor en-suite shower room is the only one in this small gem.
Silverlake is a holiday home development, and has acres of woodland and forest paths, with great opportunities for walking and cycling, and lakeside water sports activities including kayaking and fishing (please note, additional charges may be incurred for equipment hire). Enjoy the on-site shared outdoor heated swimming pool, well-equipped gym, muga courts, play area, roof terrace with bar and cafe, private beach and spa facilities within the price of your stay.
The world-famous Jurassic Coast is just a short drive or cycle away, making trips to iconic Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove easy, and nearby you will find Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World, and Sculpture by the Lakes. The county town of Dorchester is just ten minutes away, and has numerous shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, museums and two cinemas.
Whilst Beaumont Village and the surrounding areas are fully completed with no construction in view, there are some properties at Silverlake that are still undergoing the final phase of construction. When out and about on the development, you may see construction, machinery and workers from 0730 to 1800, Monday to Friday and 0800 to 1300, Saturday. Please abide by any signage relating to construction areas.

There is access to a washing machine in the boat store, which is separate to the main property with the entrance found opposite Swan Cottage, under the archway.

The bedding in the king-size bedroom is down with fibre available on request. The bedding in the children's room is microfibre.

Thank you for a lovely week in Swan Cottage. Lovely to be surrounded by nature. Enjoyed watching the geese back and forth and all their chatting as they fly through the sky. We saw deer and rabbits too. Enjoyed the lovely swimming pool and sauna. Staff were lovely too and very welcoming, makes a difference when people enjoy the job they do! Thank you for a relaxing stay.

Our stay in this minimalist cottage was lovely, the locations rich flora and tranquillity was loved by the three of us. Excellent base area for our visit to The Tank Museum at Bovington Camp, Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, and Lulworth Cove. Hope to come back soon again!
