About this property

Sitting in a glorious rural location on the edge of the pretty village of Powerstock, The Warren nestles within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty deep in the West Dorset countryside, and within walking distance of two local pubs.

Powerstock is a quiet Dorset farming village with stunning views all around, and at Rabbit Catcher's Farm on the edge of the village you will find a special gem - The Warren. A bespoke handmade oak shepherd's hut, with a beautifully styled interior nestled on the side of a pretty little valley. The accommodation comes complete with a well-equipped kitchenette, a cosy bedroom area with double bed, and a comfortable dining area with two wing back chairs. A shower room with walk-in shower enclosure, wash basin, and fully plumbed flushing WC completes this lovely retreat. The double doors let the sunshine flood in, and you can sit in comfort as you enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner, listening to the birdsong. With plenty of rural charm, outside is a lawned area with a wooden swing seat, and a firepit where you can sit and enjoy the countryside views or gaze up at the night sky and hear the owls hoot.

The Warren offers couples an opportunity to rest and relax whilst enjoying the special Dorset countryside, and with two local pubs just a stroll away, guests will be spoilt for choice. Situated just four miles from the popular town of Bridport, the hut is well situated for exploring the nearby Jurassic Coast, West Bay, Charmouth and the numerous quaint villages nearby.

Just came back from 3 nights away at the shepherds hut which was absolutely excellent. The quality of the accommodation is superb, and having the hot tub as well was a brilliant touch of luxury;great for early morning meditation and after long walks. Natalie and Matthews working smallholding is such a delightful setting and it was so cool to be able to get up and personal with the animals. And it's an ideal location for exploring the Jurassic coast. Communication was always clear and responsive before and during our stay;Natalie was totally attentive throughout and even arranged a birthday cake with a personal message for my wife to be made and delivered to the hut before we arrived. Great place, great hosts. 100% recommended.

We had the most wonderful stay at The Warren, it is so well equipped and has everything you will need. The hot tub is a great asset we loved relaxing in there taking in the views enjoying the peace. The two pubs are in walking distance and offer superb food. Mat and Nat are wonderful hosts and there for your every need or if you want to know anything. We hope to return.

We had such a lovely and relaxing little escape into a peaceful and friendly world apart. The hut was perfect, so cosy and the attention to detail was outstanding. Everything had been thought of. We loved using the hot tub and even though the second night was also in the rain it was just as special. We loved meeting the animals so much especially giving treats to the sheep and having cuddles with Nats' two little lambs, just lovely! The cream teas were amazing and the pub a tiny little walk away did an awesome breakfast. We would definitely 100% recommend a stay here and we wish we could have stayed for longer.
