After dinner, head outside to the rear garden to relax with your favourite tipple and catch a glimpse of the sea views on offer. As the evening cools, retire to the sitting room where you can snuggle up with a good book or select a much-loved favourite from the TV. Climb the stairs up to the first floor, where you can freshen up after a day at the beach with a hot shower, before climbing into the sumptuous king size bed to catch your rest. In the morning, fuel up for the day ahead with a steaming cup of coffee ready to be enjoyed in the conservatory as you plan the days adventures. Set out for the day where you can treat your loved ones to a delicious home-cooked breakfast at The Flat Café, before packing up your beach gear and heading down to Chiswell, where you can bathe on the sands or paddle the shores. The renowned resort town of Weymouth is just a short drive away, here you will find the impressive ruins of Sandsfoot Castle, the Rodwell Trail and the Victorian Nothe Fort and Gardens. Continue into the town where you can test out your swing at the Weymouth Golf Club, spot the local wildlife at the RSPB Radipole Lake, take in the delights of Weymouth Beach, along with the attractions of the sea life centre, Lorton Valley Nature Park and RSPB Lodmoor. Fortuneswell is located on the Isle of Portland peninsula, which is connected to the mainland by Chesil Beach, a gravel spit that extends 18 miles towards West Bay. There is a fair selection of shops, bars, and restaurants in Fortuneswell as well as a fascinating maze of lanes that twist their way up a high hill to provide spectacular views of the Jurassic Coast and the rolling hills of Dorset beyond. It's a birdwatcher's paradise, with outstanding hiking and climbing opportunities, a wide variety of watersports, sandy beaches, and Weymouth just five miles away, making this a fantastic vacation spot.
