About this property

Bayview Villa is a magnificent, four-storey villa situated in the picturesque village of Fortuneswell in Dorset, offering 3 bedrooms with space for 6 adults. Just a short walk from the beach and range of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, Bayview Villa is superbly placed for a family getaway to the Isle of Portland, Dorset. After a day of exploring, spend a moment relaxing in the living/dining room, catching up on your favourite shows or gathering round the dining table after conjuring up a hearty meal in the kitchen. Venture up to the first-floor, home to another sitting room, where you can curl up beside the woodburning stove and appreciate the views over Chesil Beach. As you look to call it a day, find the first of the bedrooms on this level, offering a double bed, whilst the second-floor houses two doubles, including the master with en-suite shower, offering far-reaching sea views. Up a final set of stairs leads to another room with a TV. Start the morning within the rear courtyard, enjoying a coffee as you ponder on the day ahead. Make the most of your fabulous location, where you can sample a range of pubs, restaurants, and cafes just a stone’s throw away from Bayview Villa! History enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the rich heritage of the area by visiting the iconic Portland Castle, a well-preserved fortification dating back to the 16th century; its imposing walls and fascinating exhibits offer a glimpse into the region's maritime past. For those seeking a more contemporary experience, the Olympic Rings Stone Sculpture stands proudly as a symbol of the island's involvement in the London 2012 Olympics. Pack up your seaside essentials and wander to the stunning Chesil Beach, an 18-mile-long shingle barrier beach stretching from West Bay to Portland, regarded as one of Dorset’s most iconic landmarks. Weymouth is seven miles away and offers excellent attractions, where you can see the marina life at SEA LIFE Centre Weymouth, discover Sandworld, catch one of many shows displayed at the Weymouth Pavilion or simply watch as the boats bob with the tide at Weymouth Marina. All this and more awaits at Bayview Villa.

Situated on Dorset's spectacular Jurassic Coast, now a World Heritage Site, the village of Fortuneswell can be found on the rugged Isle of Portland peninsula, joined to the mainland via Chesil Beach, a pebble spit, which stretches 18 miles towards West Bay. Formerly a quarrying area, Fortuneswell boasts a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with an intriguing maze of streets that wind their way up a steep hill to offer stunning views of the Jurassic Coast and the rolling hills of Dorset beyond. The surrounding countryside is well known as a birdwatcher’s paradise, plus with great walking and climbing opportunities, an array of watersport activities, wonderful sandy beaches, and Weymouth just 5 miles away, this super holiday destination is not to be missed!

It's quite cluttered with lots of expensive items on most surfaces. You can easily walk down into the harbour. You have wonderful views from both lounges and one of the bedrooms. It would benefit from a downstairs toilet.

If I was to be critical of anything, it would be the sofa in the front room, it was so uncomfortable, my buttocks are ruined lol
