The Old Council Chamber is a modern apartment situated on the Isle of Portland. Chesil Cove is a few minutes stroll and offers a fantastic range of activities such as scuba diving, fishing or simply soaking up the sun. Portland is home to a museum, a castle and of course the iconic lighthouse at the very top of the island. Here you can experience the most wonderful views over the bay and there are various clifftop walks to pursue. The drive over to the seaside town of Weymouth is around 15 minutes and there are frequent bus services that run throughout the day. Weymouth is a lively town with an attractive Georgian seafront which runs adjacent to the award winning sandy beach, lined with shops, cafes and bars. The property provides comfortable accommodation and has a modern feel throughout. The open plan living/kitchen/diner offers a space to eat, relax and socialise. Catch up on your favourite TV shows or cosy down and get lost in a good book. Formerly a quarrying area, Fortuneswell boasts a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with an intriguing maze of streets that wind their way up a steep hill to offer stunning views of the Jurassic Coast and the rolling hills of Dorset beyond. The surrounding countryside is well known as a birdwatcher’s paradise, plus with great walking and climbing opportunities, an array of watersport activities, wonderful sandy beaches, and Weymouth just 5 miles away, this super holiday destination is not to be missed!
