Great location with shop, bakery and chip shop within a 5 minute walk. The owner could not have done enough for us. However the cleaning company let the owner down there were lots of cleanliness issues from toilet brushes to utensils. Full vacuum, full tumble dryer lint and water the dishwasher needed salt. These things are all down to the facilities company and if I was the owner I would want compensation from them. The big issue for us was the building work next door the noise from 8am and the debris floating into the garden and the walkway to the house was just unacceptable we spoke to the builders after they kept blocking the drive. Did speak to Skye cottages and the owner agreed on a compensation payment thank you for that. This issue could not be helped by the owner and it wouldnât put me off going to this property again it was just unfortunate the work had only just started for our 2 week holiday. Weymouth is an amazing place 3 mins in the car to the beach or a 30 minute walk down hill the No. 8 and 12 buses go right past the end of the road. I would still recommend the property but may suggest they look at a different facilities company

There was also dust on the skirting in the downstairs shower room . There was also soap reside underneath the outer basin. It needed a good hover in the second to/ kitchen area. Personally if I was the owner I would use a private cleaner not a company. There was no salt in the dishwasher. So had to immediately buy bleach for loos & dishwasher salt. Needs new baking trays to be able to cook at home if weather is poor. Also pint glasses, would be great . Couldnât seem to lock the porch door either. So had to permanently use the deadlock on the front door as it was a push opener. Apart from these very few cosmetic things the place was gorgeous.

We wish we could have stayed longer! The house was very clean, the mattresses were really comfortable and all the rooms were beautiful. All the facilities were really good - we would stay here again!
