Guests say

Everdene is a well-regarded holiday cottage in a peaceful village, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and location. Guests appreciate the attentive property management and the thoughtful touches, such as welcome biscuits. The property boasts a private garden, ample parking, and is well-equipped for a comfortable stay, making it a popular choice for return visits.

Most guests found Everdene to be clean and tidy, though there were isolated comments about dust under the sofa and a need for high-up cleaning. The property management seems responsive to feedback, suggesting ongoing attention to cleanliness.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to Weymouth, Dorchester, and the Jurassic coast. The village setting and nearby tearooms add to the charm, making it an ideal base for exploring Dorset.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with good sleeping arrangements and a homely feel. Some minor issues with bed comfort and a stiff door handle were noted, but overall, the property provides a relaxing environment.

Facilities are deemed great by many, with a well-equipped kitchen and good outdoor space. However, some guests mentioned inadequate kitchenware and a desire for modern amenities like a larger TV and a proper shower in the ensuite. Maintenance issues like a broken Velux and a leaky shower were also reported.

The property management's responsiveness and special touches, such as welcome biscuits for guests and their pets, demonstrate thoughtfulness. While these gestures are appreciated, it's important to note that such amenities may vary and are not guaranteed with every stay.

We really appreciated the seasonal touches (Christmas tree, crackers, festive treats) and practical items such as the stair gate and high chair. The property was very well maintained and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking full meals. Thank you!

It is a spacious and clean property. It was a quiet and peaceful environment in a lovely village. There was parking for two cars just outside the property and in addition we had an enclosed garden. The only thing we would mention there was no composting of household food waste and instructions were to bag it up with the general waste. It is a good location to take a bus into Weymouth or Dorchester, a short walk of 10 mins to the bus stop or drive to local attractions. Well worth a visit the The Wishing Well Tearooms and Water Gardens in Upwey.

Needs coffee machine, larger TV, sound such as Bluetooth speaker. The ensuite would be much better with a proper shower rather than bath, extractor needs to be replaced with a much quieter model that only switches off when humidity falls, ensuite had a damp musty smell. Broken Velux needs repairing. Nice village location close to many places to visit, it's 2024 please stop using COVID as an excuse, bring back the guestbook, games, local information. It makes cottage stays much more enjoyable. Agency were very professional, welcoming and helpful.
