A couple of steps lead up into the stylishly arranged kitchen equipped with everything you may need during your stay. Featuring exposed timber beams and a cheery wood burner, the cosy lounge is perfect for relaxing and chatting about the day’s adventures. The ground floor also has a refreshing bathroom. A steep cottage-style staircase leads to the first floor where you will find the two king-size bedrooms, one of which can be made up as a twin on prior request. Outside, the sweet, enclosed garden has a lawn and patio with outdoor furniture offering a lovely space to sit back, dine alfresco and take in the idyllic surroundings.
Within easy reach of the Welsh border (5 miles), the traditional village of Lydbrook has two friendly pubs and lies along the northern edge of the Forest of Dean, with the Wye Valley immediately to the west. An ideal base for a range of activities including rock climbing, canoeing and mountain biking, the area is also perfect for spotting wildlife or enjoying quiet strolls. Local attractions include the Dean Heritage Centre, Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves, all within 10 miles.
