Perivale Lodge is set in the beautiful location of the Forest of Dean and is close to The Dean Steam Railway Station where you can purchase a day ticket to take you all over this area. It is situated in glorious countryside, making it a perfect get-away for all the family. The property has been renovated to a very good standard, offering well equipped and comfortably furnished holiday accommodation. It also benefits from the use of a fire pit, perfect for family and friends to enjoy an evening around.
The grounds have access to some amazing walks and the enclosed 2-acre field is perfect for letting the dogs off their leads. There are open ponds and steep slopes all round, so children must be supervised at all times. The property boasts a downstairs entrance way designed for bringing the dogs into, after washing them off outside with the warm water hose, and is also suitable for hanging coats and leaving boots.

Perivale Lodge is in a lovely quiet location, the only noise is the occasional whistle of the steam trains which run from just across the road. The main accommodation is on the first floor above a double garage frontage. All the windows are Vellux style roof windows so personally I found it a bit dark and it’s a shame not to have more views of the wonderful garden and surrounding forest. We were able to keep the kitchen door open to enjoy the forest view as the weather was mostly kind to us. The patio and lawned garden are completely secure so great for dogs. The only problem our dog had was the metal staircase into the garden. Although rubber mats have been added she managed to get her paw caught and was very cautious after that. Very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great for active dogs as you can walk straight onto forest trails from the garden.

Perivale Lodge is the most perfect place to take a break with your dog. The outside space is spectacular and the lodge itself is very well catered for with such attention to detail. The hosts, Debbie & Rich are so welcoming and very very dog friendly . Wouldn’t hesitate to go back .
