A beautiful spacious ground floor apartment in a grade II listed Georgian property with a large garden. The apartment is situated in the heart of the lovely village of Newnham close to the banks of the River Severn and is totally self contained with its own separate entrance.. 2 steps to entrance.

Bank House Apartment is a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside, the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire and Worcestershire. Located on Newnham High Street right next to the historic clock tower, there are some quaint little shops and two pubs in the village. The River Severn is only a stone’s throw away from the apartment and is one of the best places to experience the famous Severn Bore.
For those looking for an adventure, Bank House Apartment has easy access to the Forest Adventure Outdoor Centre, Puzzlewood, Clearwood Caves and the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum. Alternatively, visit the English Heritage’s Goodrich Castle, National Trust’s Round House and Naval Temple, and Norchard Railway Station Museum on the Dean Forest Railway. Monmouth, with its castle, wide high street and good range of shops, and Chepstow Castle, are well worth a visit. There are also walks, golf and mountain biking opportunities available nearby.
Bank House apartment is all on ground floor level and has a spacious kitchen/dining room with island, dining table and chairs, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas hob and double oven. The impressively large living room has an electric fire and Smart TV, whilst the bathroom has a bath with shower over. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and a z-bed bed for a child when required, and the large patio has garden furniture and access to the owner’s large enclosed lawned garden, which is dog-friendly. Dog beds and bowls are also provided for your four-legged friends.

This was a lovely spacious apartment with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The owner met us on arrival to explain everything and was always on hand to help with anything. We would highly recommend to others for a great stay.

A beautiful apartment and gardens, mercifully cool during the August heatwave, with the most lovely welcome basket of homemade treats from our hosts. The location is great for exploring the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley, with plenty of places to visit, and some lovely walks. We'd also highly recommend the walking tour of nearby Gloucester run by the Gloucester Civic Trust - loads of interesting history brought to life! We had a great holiday and the apartment and village provided a great base.
