Luckington Stables is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained hot tub, and comfortable furnishings. The rural setting offers peace and beautiful views, with a secure garden for pets. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches and the host's attentive communication.
Most guests found the cottage very clean, with well-maintained facilities. However, a few noted minor issues with cleanliness, such as chipped crockery and a dirty pillow, which slightly affected the overall impression.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility and picturesque countryside views. It is considered ideal for a peaceful retreat, although a car is necessary for sightseeing and accessing local amenities.
Guests report the cottage as warm and comfortable, with comfy beds and efficient heating. The spaciousness and provision for pets add to the comfort level, though some guests suggested updating the sofas.
The facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious garden, are appreciated. The hot tub is a highlight, though some guests mentioned that certain kitchen items and sofas could benefit from renewal.
The host's thoughtfulness is evident from the detailed communication and provision of items such as dog beds and treats. While gifts like sweets and biscuits were mentioned, it is noted that such gestures, though delightful, are not guaranteed.

Great few days away at Luckington Stables, I can definitely recommend this cottage, Alex sent me a detailed email before we arrived and also rang he was on hand when we arrived in case we had any questions. The hot tub was very well maintained and super clean also had a roof over. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. We arrived on a cold afternoon and the heating was already on and it was super warm throughout our stay, beds were comfy and good linen. Plenty of room on the patio with large area if you had children to play it was also lovely and quiet. I would definitely go back and would recommend. Lots of great places to go in the area, lovely Somerset countryside.

A beautiful place/location to stay provided that you are willing to drive for the usual sightseeing and for dog walks (unless you walk on narrow country lanes which, at times, can be quite hazardous). Externally, the accommodation has a spacious decking area on which is located the well maintained hot tub. In addition, there is an area for the BBQ as well as a very good sized lawned area which our 2 canine companions loved. The outlook was of two exercise areas for horses as well as a fence jumping area. Internally, the kitchen was well equipped even though some of the crockery was chipped and a couple of the saucepans had seen better days, but these are easily replaced. The excellent bedrooms and bathroom were spacious and more than comfortable. The heating was extremely efficient. The dogs were clearly thought of as there were clean towels provided as well as a dog bed, teats, a toy and water bowls. Would we recommend this accommodation? Absolutely yes. Thank you for a lovely time.
