The Lodge is spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped. Being separate from other properties and in its own grounds is perfect for doggy playtimes. There is also a footpath for walkies to the side of the property. Couldn't find any good restaurants in Shepton Mallet but there are a couple of takeaways and a massive Tesco for self catering. On arrival a welcome text from Jordan and After 8 mints in the fridge were a nice touch. Plentiful supply of tea, coffee, sugar & milk also provided for that settling in cuppa. I called Jordan to find out how to turn the heating down (I hadn't read the instructions in the guest manual) and she didn't mind at all, couldn't have been more friendly. If I had one niggle (and admittedly it wouldn't bother most people) the tv works on streaming apps only and a lot of them want you to sign in to your account. Even to watch live eg BBC (a freeview channel) you have to sign in to iplayer, which means you have to a) remember your password and b) remember to log out of your account before you leave! Other than that, the owners really have gone all out to make the Lodge a lovely place to stay.

You could not stay anywhere better. The Lodge is comfortable, well-equipped and generously supplied with everyday essentials such as coffee pods, toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo, handwash etc. The birdsong is amazing in these peaceful surroundings and the lane and gields that run down the side of the property are wonderful for fog walking. We had an amazing two week stay
