This detached property is set at the bottom of the owners grounds and is surrounded by 360 degree views overlooking the beautiful Mendips and Quantock Hills. This makes an excellent base for walkers and nature lovers alike. The lodge is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with some fantastic walks, great for your four legged friends to join you. Electric cars may be slow charged using an outdoor standard 3-pin socket (at cost, by arrangement with owner).
The market town of Axbridge is only 2 miles away and the bustling village of Wedmore with its great restaurants, shops and tearooms only 4 miles. You will be spoilt for choice here with so many places of interest to visit, including Wells Cathedral, England’s smallest city with its Bishops Palace, and Glastonbury with its famous tor and abbey. The mysterious caves of Cheddar and Wookey Hole and its wonder of the world gorge, are both just a short distance away. Beach 10 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Our second visit to The Sett and once again the only negative was leaving. Absolutely love it here its so peaceful and relaxing. Waking up to the cows mooing in the feild is wonderful. Great place, decorated beautifully and so spacious for a family of 4. Great hosts and easy to talk to if need anything. Only things id add were a couple more loungers for the garden as the weather was beautiful would have been nice for all 4 of us to have a comfortable seat to read our book/sun bathe the bench is ok for a short while and a bigger tv but thats just our personal preference and not a criticism at all. We will be back again and already looking forward too it.

We had an amazing time, the house and views were stunning. Hugh Sonia and Jack the dog were great hosts. The Set is in the most relaxing location with stunning views which you can enjoy from the top floor window's seating area. It's extremely well kitted out with lovely walks nearby. Our daughter was particularly won over by the cows in the next door field, they gave her hours of entertainment and she was especially sad to leave them.It was a a 15 minute drive from Cheddar's beautiful gorge and wondrous caves, 30 minutes from Glastonbury where you can visit the tor, it's abbey and cathedral or do some spiritual shopping. If you are a young family we would recommend spending a day at Wookey Hole, where you have a tour through the cave, spend time with the dinosaurs, spend time in the Victorian arcade, try your hand at a spot of crazy golf and catch a circus show.
