Crewkerne 1.5 miles. Honeysuckle Cottage is a lovely, terraced cottage perched in Misterton on the outskirts of Crewkerne, Somerset. With three bedrooms sleeping up to six guests, this pet-friendly dwelling combines tradition with contemporary for families to holiday in the countryside, with easy access to Dorset's coast. Step inside to find a bright and airy sitting room with two large windows, an impressive feature fireplace housing a woodburning stove, and cushioned sofas to sink into after the day's adventures; why not curl up with a book or watch TV? Moving through the property, you'll find a spacious galley-style kitchen with high quality appliances to rustle up your favourite home-cooked meals, whilst the dishwasher does the cleaning up. Gather around the dining table for six with a gorgeous, exposed stone wall as its backdrop, followed by a cold beverage in the light-filled snug overlooking the enclosed garden. Spend summer evenings in your private outdoor space where your dog and children can play on the lawn, whilst the outdoor seating welcomes you to dine al fresco; there's even a hot and cold outdoor tap to rinse off before stepping inside. Completing the ground floor is a contemporary shower room with a spacious walk-in shower. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms with storage space to choose from; two super-king-size which are zip/link and can be twin on request, along with a bunk bed. When it's time to venture out, you'll find The Globe Inn, and Somerset cider and apple cakes at Cedric's At The White Swan, or when you fancy a break from cooking, you can head to The Admiral Hood in the next village. The town of Crewkerne is a short journey away with supermarkets, takeaway fish and chips at Crewkerne Fish Bar, classic fare at the White Hart Inn, and Crewkerne Heritage Centre, whilst Bincombe Beeches Nature Reserve is ideal for walking with your dog. You'll also have the Blackdown Hills AONB with plenty of footpaths for scenic rambles through the countryside! There are plenty of historic attractions nearby too, including Forde Abbey House and Gardens, the National Trust's Barrington Court and the 17th-century Montacute House, and Yeovil Railway Centre. With the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just a stone's throw away, be sure to pack your walking boots and venture through the idyllic countryside; stop off in Beaminster where little ones will love Donkey Walking Adventures and Beaminster Skatepark, along with the volunteer-run Beaminster Museum. Journey a little further south to Bridport, a picturesque market town home to Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club and close to West Bay, a gorgeous beach with golden sands backed by the Jurassic Coast cliffs for breath-taking walks. Lyme Regis is also within reach where you can hunt for fossils on Lyme Regis Beach, discover local sea life at Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium, and marvel at over 9000 specimens at Dinosaurland Fossil Museum. For your next holiday in Somerset and Dorset, book your stay at Honeysuckle Cottage.
