Camelot is a charming and quirky cottage that offers a cosy and comfortable stay, with a well-equipped kitchen, spacious rooms, and a warm welcome from the host, Carol. Guests appreciate the beautiful setting, the secure parking, and the enclosed garden, which is perfect for dogs. The property's character and the thoughtful touches, such as wine and dog treats, contribute to a delightful experience, although some guests noted the proximity to a busy road and unique bathroom arrangements.
Most guests found the cottage clean, particularly the bathrooms, with only a few mentioning areas that were cobwebby and dusty. The overall impression is that the property is well-maintained, though there is room for improvement in some spots.
The cottage is praised for its beautiful riverside walks and proximity to local attractions. However, some guests noted the busy road and the lack of safe walking paths directly from the property, which affected the score.
Guests consistently mention the comfortable living spaces, well-equipped kitchen, and comfy beds. The presence of a log burner adds to the cosy atmosphere, although the noise from the road was a minor issue for some light sleepers.
The property is well-equipped with a kitchen that includes an air fryer, plenty of logs for the fire, and secure parking. However, some guests were concerned about the quirky bathroom setup and the internet speed, which impacts the score.
Carol's responsiveness and the welcoming touches, such as wine and dog treats, are highly appreciated by guests. These gestures contribute to a pleasant stay, though it's noted that such gifts are a kind bonus and not a guaranteed amenity.

We loved this cottage, we stayed here for Christmas and we had all lovely time. The owner Carol was really friendly and welcoming. She left a lovely gift for us and for the dogs. Great value for money, the cottage was delightful and has its own unique style. It was warm and cosy with the log burners and central heating. The scenery was gorgeous. The only downside was the main road, it’s a 70mph road and not safe to walk on as it has no pavements. We did it once to the local pub but if you had dogs and young kids it’s not safe. But this wouldn't put us off going again as everything else was lovely. All in all a lovely Christmas.

We had a great stay at Camelot. A beautiful old house, full of character surrounded by lovely scenery. There was plenty of space and the beds and sofa were very comfy making for a very relaxing time. Carol was a super host. Friendly and helpful. There was plenty to do nearby and lots of nice places to eat and drink. We would definitely stay again.
