No smoking.. Welcome to The Stables, newly refurbished in 2022 to an extremely high standard. This is a wonderful detached holiday home for your next escape to the country! Step inside the large hallway, where the stairs lead you directly to the extremely spacious bedroom with its super kingsize bed and additional 4ft double bed, both with exceptionally high quality mattresses and linen. This room is perfect for a small family or three friends sharing. The large en-suite shower room has a walk-in shower with dual shower head, as well as a heated towel rail for extra comfort. Downstairs, the fantastic kitchen is extremely well equipped and has everything you would need to prepare the simplest to the most extravagant of meals! The living/dining room is spacious yet welcoming, with its sumptuous corner sofa, perfect for relaxing on and watching movies or binging your favourite series, while the beautiful glass dining table has ample seating for your stay. Open the French doors to the terrace, with its seating area and magnificent hot tub overlooking the countryside and the owners sheep and horses!
There is a working equestrian facility to the rear and if you can bear to tear yourself away, then you are within driving distance of many superb attractions in South Somerset. Nearby are the great attractions of the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, the Haynes Classical Car Collection, the enchanting Glastonbury Tor and Clarks Factory Village. There are numerous historic houses, the cathedral city of Wells and onto the delightful Cheddar Gorge and caves, while further afield is the historic spa city of Bath. There is a wealth of attractions and sights to enjoy and on your return perhaps stroll down to the local village pub to wine and dine.

We used this cottage as a base for our family gatherings over the Christmas period and it was absolutely ideal.Large open-plan living area including a huge glass table which easily accommodated 7 people for meals and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare the food.Underfloor heating meant we were never cold even though it was quite nippy outside. The bed was very comfortable and the duvet was toasty at night.We made full use of the hot tub (and loved it) but not the firepit bbq (too cold!)Really caring hosts. A nice touch - they provided a fully decorated Christmas tree for our stay. We enjoyed watching the horses being ridden mornings and afternoons. Would also recommend The Red Lion local pub, great atmosphere and food.

I stayed at this cottage for a week and had a great experience. It was clean, well equipped, and very peaceful despite being near an equestrian facility. The property felt private with lovely views of the countryside and horses. Id happily stay again!
