Pete's Place is a charming cottage with a fantastic garden, ideal for dogs and relaxation, featuring a hot tub and cosy interiors. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches by the host, Karen, and the property's character, though some mention minor maintenance needs. The location is convenient for local amenities and outdoor activities.
The cottage is described as clean with everything needed for a comfortable stay. No negative comments about cleanliness suggest a high level of satisfaction.
The property is within walking distance to pubs, takeaways, and cafes, and offers great areas for hikes and dog walks. The location seems to be well-received by guests.
Guests find the bedrooms and bathroom comfortable and quaint, with a homey feel throughout the cottage. However, some guests noted unlevel floors and deep steps, which could affect overall comfort.
The hot tub is frequently mentioned as a highlight, though some guests suggest improvements like a privacy screen and cover. The shared driveway is a point of contention for one guest. Overall, facilities are good but with room for enhancement.
Karen is praised for her thoughtfulness, providing a cake, milk, and a Nespresso machine, as well as dog amenities. While these gestures are highly appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Pete's place was beautiful. I lovely place to wind and relax. It was really lovely. It wouldn't normally work for our family as we are a family of 6. But 2 of ours were away with school, so we just had 2 kids. There was just 2 points that my husband wasn't keen on. We have had many hot tub holidays. He prefers them to be under cover as when it rains its not the nicest being warm below and freezing cold rain hitting your head. The other was we couldn't use the drive as its a shared drive, and as we are only on holiday. But we thought there should be some sort of agreement added to this type of driveway if this is the case to allow everyone to use it. Otherwise it was lovely, great lot of outside space. It was kept lovely and warm and was lovely to be in. I didn't like the boiler coming on at 5:30, as it makes a noise, it was nice to be warm but I'm not sure if that needs looking at. I get disturbed by the smallest of noise, and this really disturbed my sleep, it took me to the last night to be used to this and ignore it.

Incredible cottage, with a very cosy feel. Pubs, takeaways, brewery and cafes all in walking distance. Fantastic area for hikes, dog walks and adventures. Hot tub is an extra bonus and very kind + thoughtful host.

We booked this place due to the hot tub, the privacy and the large outdoor space for our dog. This is by far the best cottage we have ever been and the attention to detail is excellent! The house was lovely and full of character, it was clean and had everything we needed. We arrived late at night and it was really handy to have milk in the fridge for the morning coffee (it has a nespresso machine too which was a bonus for us!) This place is more than dog friendly, we have a Labrador and often dog friendly stays cater for smaller breeds, its not the case with this one! It had a large bed for our boy to use and a basket with treats, poop bags, towel and even a spare lead and a little collar batch with the host's contact number, in case your pooch gets lost. The hot tub was also by far the best one we have used. I can't fault this place or the host in any way. Karen (the host) was lovely, she made sure we settled in ok and even gave us some tips regarding the local area. Despite the stormy weather we managed to enjoy the place fully as well as the surrounding area. This is the perfect place for a much needed R&R!We can't wait to come back!
