Taunton 6.3 miles. This amazing detached holiday home is an incredible hidden gem situated on the edge of the tranquil village of Creech St Michael on the canal, surrounded by the beauty of Somerset. After a mile long private lane, (a little bumpy in bad weather) you will find Thorneybees in a private and secluded spot, offering a gorgeous house filled with a mix of contemporary amenities and characterful furnishings throughout. Be welcomed by this striking property into a spacious entrance hall where you can kick off your muddy shoes before enjoying a fun-filled night in. Move through the ground floor to find an enticing kitchen space, fitted with incredible amenities for a plethora of home cooking, certain to entice any budding chefs, with views out to the luscious garden outside. Meals can be enjoyed in the sensational orangery dining room, here you can host special occasions in this bright conservatory style space, with enough room for all the family to gather round and spend quality time together of good food and drinks. The charming sitting room provides a sociable space to gather with your loved ones whilst you cosy up in front of the fire and flick through the TV, or curl up with a good book underneath original oak beams and take in this incredible space. Also on the ground floor is a ground-floor shower room and double bedroom with access by patio doors to the driveway, please note the driveway is gravel so unsuitable for wheelchair users. A large picnic table offers an alternative dining arrangement on the wrap-around decking outdoors, here you can savour a glass of wine as you relish in the serene setting before treating yourself to an evening of luxury in the outdoor hot tub, situated next to a calming water feature. Let the kids escape to the external games room from here, providing a private den when the adults want a night away, there's also a secure outside boot room accessed from the garden, making way for wet dogs, bicycles, fishing gear, muddy boots and coats. Head upstairs to find four more inviting bedrooms, comprising a super-king-size with its own balcony for night-time stargazing, as well as a sumptuous en-suite bathroom, a king-size, two singles with the option of a king-size with zip/link features, and a double, all benefiting from their own ample storage. Finally, step in to the first-floor shower room for a refreshing morning rinse, the walk-in shower offers a spacious spot to relax and prepare for the day ahead. Head out on a leisurely stroll along the canal path around the quiet village of Creech St Michael, which has a local shop, post office, doctors and vets, enveloped by scenes of idyllic Somerset countryside and in close distance to the county town of Taunton where you can browse through a wealth of shops and supermarkets, as well as a choice of pubs and restaurants if you fancy a night away from the kitchen. Taunton is the county town of Somerset, home to historic attractions including the Museum of Somerset, Castle Lodge, St Mary Magdalene church, as well as fun-filled activities at Somerset County Cricket Ground, the Brewhouse Arthouse Theatre & Gallery, Taunton Farmers Market, Vivary Park and a large cinema near Junction 25 for a rainy afternoon! Five bedrooms with 4 TVs: 1 x super-king-size with a balcony and en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath, basin and WC, 1 x king-size, 1 x king-size (zip/link can be twin on request), 1 x double, 1 x ground-floor double, please note: although the ground floor bedroom is suitable for the less mobile, there is a step down into the bedroom, the door is very narrow and there is an opening into the lounge which is curtained off.
