Birch Cleave Stable in Simonsbath, in the heart of the Exmoor National Park, is newly refurbished and offers a luxurious getaway for 2 to 4 adults + up to 2 dogs. Bring your horse - 2 stables available. Access to the footpaths and bridleways is just a step from the cottage door, perfect for exploring.
Accommodation
The kitchen area is compact yet well-equipped and includes fridge/freezer, dishwasher, instant boiling water tap, washing machine, tumble dryer, and electric oven and hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, cafetière, variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
There is a dining table with seating for 4 between the kitchen and living areas.
The living area has a television with Freesat, and wifi is available throughout the property at no extra cost. An iron and ironing board, and hairdryers are all provided for your convenience.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Central heating is fitted throughout the property and there is a wood-burner in the living room. Logs and kindling provided on request.
Both bedrooms have storage and hanging space and USB charge points. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience. Please bring outdoor/beach towels if you wish to take them with you on day trips.
Up to 2 well-behaved dogs welcome for supplement of £20 per dog. Please do not allow them on the furniture or beds please, thank you for your cooperation.

If you are looking for solitude, beautiful walks in an amazing setting, wild ponies and deer herds on the walks, and some great local (usually 20-30 minutes through gorgeous countryside) pubs and restaurants for foodies, then a stay at Pip's amazingly restored cottage is the place. Nestled in the center of Exmoor Forest, it is a beautifully restored home with a great fireplace, stone floors, fine appointments throughout, and Pip at the ready in case you need advice or help. We had some awful weather for most days, but if you are British, then you're used to it, and it is such beautiful countryside, even an aging American loved it, although not as much as my family and our intrepid dog, Blaze. Pubs like the Black Venus a 15-minute drive away provide amazing locally sourced food, and when the sun pops out it's 30-45 minutes to great beaches.

We had a lovely relaxing stay in Birch Cleave cottages. They were beautifully decorated, well equipped and very clean. Perfect base for exploring Exmoor.

This is a beautiful cottage set in the heart of Exmoor. Despite being August it rained almost constantly on our long weekend. As it is right on a busy road this could be a concern.
