About this property
Homely cottage situated on a working farm in Withypool, Somerset with stunning views of the village and surrounding moorland. On entering the property, guests will find a very comfortable king-size bed and a stylish bathroom. The lounge/diner has two sofas which enable the guests to unwind in front of the TV following a busy day. There's also a set of French doors which open up to the garden and beautiful views of the local area. Outside of the property there’s plenty for guests to enjoy, with a barbecue along with seating area, so why not top off summer evenings surrounded by green and pleasant land with a burger or two along with your favourite drink.
The enclosed garden has plenty of space for your dog to explore as well. This traditional farmstead has fishing rights on the River Barle, and is home to a small herd of Pedigree Dexter Cattle. Exmoor is a dark sky capital, so on a clear night the stars are amazing. For outings further afield why not try the market town of Dulverton (10 miles), the medieval town of Dunster with it's castle (16 miles), Porlock and Porlock weir, where Exmoor meets the sea (13 miles), or Woolacombe for it's magnificent beach (30 miles).
Withypool is surrounded by open moorland. Large parts of the village lie on the north side of the river, while. it's traditional buildings are wrapped in lime washed rendered stonewalls and have slate roofs. Within Withypool, there are local general stores as a well as the tearooms. The Roayl Oak Inn is also worth a visit. Also available are B & B's and holiday cottages. There are many walks in and around this destination, including the Two Moors Way that passes through the village and Tarr Steps.

If you want somewhere off the beaten track this is the place for you. On arrival we had a welcome pack of wine milk butter bread and biscuits which was very welcome also the property was warm and cosy The walks straight out the front door are really good if you have a dog. The shop in the village has nearly everything you need but if you need a supermarket you will need to travel a bit so plan your shopping The property is well equipped with everything you need Would recommend this cottage to anyone

We had a lovely time at foxlair cottage the place was beautiful it had everything you could think of inside the cottage and the view is amazing we loved everything about it will definitely think about going back and we will definitely recommend it to family and friends
