Guests praise its large garden, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and proximity to scenic walks and a friendly pub next door. The cottage is well-suited for multigenerational stays and dog owners, with an enclosed garden and ample living space. While some furnishings and fittings are a little dated and could benefit from some TLC, the overall experience is warm, cosy, and memorable, with the beautiful location and helpful hosts standing out.
Reviews consistently describe the cottage as comfortable and well-presented, with no significant complaints about cleanliness. Some mention the property is a little tired, but this refers more to decor than hygiene.
The location is highly praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and access to walks, with a traditional pub next door and scenic spots nearby. The only minor drawback is its remoteness, so guests recommend shopping before arrival.
Guests highlight comfy beds, spacious living areas, and a cosy atmosphere. Some mention saggy sofas and dated interiors, but overall comfort is rated highly, especially for larger groups and families.
The cottage is well-equipped with a large kitchen, utility room, enclosed garden, and ample parking. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, such as blunt knives, tired furnishings, and a few small repairs needed.

Lovely cottage but the interior is quite dated and in need of some TLC. Ideal size for a large group. Beautiful location but nothing in the area apart from the pub next door which does excellent food, although quite expensive.Visited Dunster Castle and beach, Minehead, Lynton, Lynmouth and a few other places which are all roughly 30/40 minutes drive. We had a couple of Tesco deliveries which was much more convenient than trying to find supplies elsewhere.

A lovely comfortable, quirky house, very spacious with everything we needed for our stay. Lots of space for parking. A beautiful large garden all set in the peaceful village of Winsford. All you could hear was the birdsong and the church bells. The Royal Oak Pub right next door was very friendly and welcoming, we had an evening meal and Sunday lunch there and both were excellent. We did have need to contact the property owners and they were available and very helpful. We would love to stay again, maybe in the summer when we could make the most of the garden.
