A lovely old cottage, full of character and most importantly really well situated within the village of Avebury and close to the henge. The cottage is very homely which is very well equipped throughout. The beds are comfy, the garden is great catching most of the sunshine during the day and is like a home from home. If you go back again to a rental cottage that is a great recommendation on it's own well this was our 5th year on the run stopping here and I've already booked for our 6th year, what more do I need to say?

Loved the amazing cottage very old fashioned. The kitchen was well equipped,,the bathroom was very basic could do with an update. We had problems with the central heating boiler, but the owner was very quick to help, which solved the problem. The cottage has very small rooms as you would expect with a building of that age, but I felt that there was too much furniture and collectibles so it was quite difficult to move around particularly upstairs, perhaps the owner felt it added to the character of the cottage. . Sometimes less is more.Having said that we did enjoy our stay and I would certainly recommend the cottage. Just mind your head on the low beams!

This was our 6th year staying in beautiful Avebury in the wonderfully olde worlde churchyard cottages. We have no complaints as always! The cottage is full of character and sympathetically furnished with lovely antiques. It has everything you need and is in the perfect location to explore Avebury and the ancient and magickal Wiltshire landscape. We are still finding new things to do each year. Our highlights this year were the witch trees in Grovely Woods near Salisbury, and Littlecote Roman Villa.Next year we have booked July, which will be our first summer in the cottage as we usually book for October. We are looking forward to seeing a different season in Avebury and surrounding areas, and making use of the lovely garden too.Thank you to the lovely housekeeper and family for a wonderful stay again.
