Absolutely beautiful cottage in idyllic surroundings. Delightful for single woman who loves to walk. Two things to take note of in pictures: 1. double (US: full) bed is upstairs under eaves, posibly very challenging if you are over 5'4' and not flexible; 2. steep spiral staircase to bedroom Finally, and most aggravating, the cottage is listed by a management company that is unresponsive in the extreme. It just sends an incomplete email about arrival and entry once on booking, then resends it again a week or so before arrival, then again a day or so before arrival. Use the mobile phone number given to reach the local contact for real information.

We really enjoyed our 4-night stay. A spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished property in a wonderful, tranquil location near a river. Salisbury and the beautiful Wiltshire countryside easily accesible by car. The kitchen and lounge were very good. It was nice having an upstairs AND downstairs toilet. We enjoyed meeting Ian, the potter, in his studio/workshop. For us, the mattres was a little uncomfortable. We were OK, but taller, plus-sized people with big cases may struggle with the spiral staircase, sloping ceiling and understandably low bed.
