The owner was very friendly and helpful. However the cottage lacked heating, there were portable electric heaters and a wood burner (which needed servicing). The cottage was full of personal items. Great country walks across the plain. Unfortunately, no local pub.

The only downfall was an information sheet with the full postal address and postcode, so when you send for an Ambulance, you have all the information to hand. Because when my wife had to go to the hospital, I had to go to the pub for the information

Small and comfortable would recommend the pie and mash at the Plume of Feathers , Shrewton the best I've ever had, Thursdays.
