Nestled amongst the rolling countryside of Suffolk’s beautiful Shotley Peninsula, Lodge Farm is a charming collection of three thoughtfully converted former farm buildings, sleeping up to 12 guests. Perfect for extended families, multi-generational gatherings or groups of friends, it offers the best of both worlds: generous shared spaces to bring everyone together, including a dining table seating all twelve guests, alongside the privacy and independence of three separate accommodations.
Lovingly restored, the buildings celebrate their agricultural past while introducing a striking contemporary finish. Original features and the character of the former farm buildings sit alongside modern kitchens, stylish bathrooms and light-filled living spaces, creating a wonderful contrast between old and new. Interconnecting soundproofed doors link the three properties, allowing everyone to move easily between them or close the doors when a little peace and privacy is desired.
At the heart of Lodge Farm is The Dairy, sleeping six guests and providing a natural gathering place for the group. Its impressive open-plan kitchen, dining with seating for all twelve guests and sitting area features soaring double-height ceilings and full-height windows overlooking the surrounding countryside, with doors leading onto a private terrace. The neighbouring Buttery offers an intimate retreat for two, complete with its own kitchen and living space, while The Parlour sleeps four across two spacious bedrooms and has its own private courtyard.
Outside, there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy time together, with private outdoor areas alongside shared facilities including a games room and tennis court. Whether gathering for long lunches, enjoying a family table tennis tournament or simply finding a quiet corner with a morning coffee, the layout makes Lodge Farm particularly well suited to larger groups. All I can say is.. the views the views the views. Beautiful house, was the perfect size for a large group. Everything was clean and well equipped, the beds could not have been comfier. We spent one night at the local pub The Boot which was fantastic, gorgeous food and about a 15min walk from the house. Would absolutely come again in the summer, one of the most peaceful places weâve ever stayed. Kate was fantastic, she let us use the tennis courts one morning and was really good at communicating.
