A fabulous, single-storey lodge for two nestled in the heart of the Suffolk countryside in Wherstead on the Shotley Peninsula. Sleeping up to two guests in one bedroom, here couples can enjoy a peaceful, romantic break whilst benefiting from the short driving distance to Ipswich.
Set privately within the grounds of the owner's house, The Lodge in Wherstead provides all ground floor accommodation with a stunning decked area over looking the gardens. The kitchen has been equipped with a combination microwave and hob, and fridge with icebox so it's possible to cook a simple evening meal or enjoy a cooked breakfast. However, with so many delightful restaurants and pubs to enjoy locally, you might find yourself dining out each evening, you are on holiday after-all! The safari themed open-plan sitting and dining room has comfy seating, wall-mounted Smart television and a dining area with seating for up to two guests, and further seats can be found in the kitchen. The light and airy bedroom with wall-to-wall windows features a luxurious 6' super-king size bed which can be configured as twin 3' single beds on request - ideal for two friends holidaying together or a mother-daughter duo. The Lodge boasts a contemporary shower room with large walk-in shower.
Outside, there is a large, private deck accessed through french doors in the sitting room. The deck overlooks the pretty garden and is an ideal spot for enjoying some peace and tranquillity. Parking is available for up to one car.
The village of Wherstead is located three miles south of Ipswich along the Shotley Peninsula, an unspoiled area of Suffolk with beautiful views and landscapes.

Beautiful first class furniture and furnishings in a newly fitted comfortable lodge with wonderful views over the garden. Ideal for visiting Jimmys farm within half a mile, Ipswich and Woodbridge. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It would benefit from a wardrobe in the bedroom, and the addition of a switch for bath and kitchen heating. Would highly recommend The Lodge.

Our second visit to the Lodge! Always a good welcome pack! Lovely setting, with countryside walks! Unusual place to stay with an insight of other Animals around the world, we become very attached whilst their! Plenty to visit within a few miles around the area! Most of all Stuart and Kate lovely hostâs, which is why we will keep coming back! Looking forward to our next stay there! Many thanks to you both. Kind regards
