The Mayfair is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and modern amenities. Guests have enjoyed the property's beautiful views and convenient location, suitable for both family gatherings and special occasions. The owner, Fred, is frequently mentioned for his warm hospitality and attentiveness. While some minor suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Guests consistently describe the property as spotless and super clean, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. The property's tidiness contributed significantly to the comfort and enjoyment of the guests' stay.
The property's location is appreciated for its easy access to Cambridge and Newmarket, and its proximity to the countryside for walks. However, some guests mentioned difficulty in finding the property and suggested better signage, slightly impacting the score.
The majority of guests found the property comfortable, with special mentions of the plush carpet and recliner sofas. The spaciousness and the provision of facilities for all age groups added to the comfort level, although a few guests suggested the addition of bedside tables and lamps.
Facilities are generally praised, especially the kitchen and entertainment options. Some guests suggested enhancements such as a larger barbecue and hot tub, and noted minor issues with a shower and the need for more kitchen utensils, which slightly lowers the score.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience with the host's attentiveness and hospitality, there is no specific mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that could be consistently expected by future guests. Therefore, a score cannot be provided for this category.

Some of the bedrooms were a little cosy (no room for bedside tables or lamps) but overall fine. Fred the owner was very welcoming and accommodating.. Had an issue with the downstairs shower flooding but hopefully Fred will have rectified that before the next people arrive. Overall a very good house in an excellent position. Thank you Fred. Would be happy to return.

It is beautiful and well kept and I am exceptionally happy about this booking . The manager was very helpful and very professional. He made sure we were happy and just a phone call away All my guest loved this property and have alredy made plans to rebook. Defo recommended for a family holiday. My only recommendation is for the owner to put a sign to say the visitors have arrived as most of my guest got lost. Otherwise most exceptional booking I have ever had.

The perfect property for our family to get together and enjoy each others company. Location for us was key easy for us all to get to. It was important for us to have downstairs facilities for Great Grandma and the space for an 8 month old to explore in his walker. All in all a great weekend.
