A lovely find! Quiet and secluded with wildlife literally on our doorstep, deer, hares, partridges. The property is on the grounds of the owners property. She introduced herself on arrival, then we were left to ourselves. Perfect. Diss is up the road, Bury St Edmonds, the coast a mere hours drive away. Lovely

The property (an adapted RAF barrack) is towards the end of a mile long lane (instructions stated turn right on entering Mill Lane so it took a little time to locate it in the dark). There is a Spar shop and bakery in Stradbroke and a quirky coffee shop open Thurs. to Sat. We didn't visit the White Hart Pub, but had a decent Sunday lunch at the Swan Inn Hoxne. Gorgeous large garden to walk around and a veranda/porch area with table and chairs. In half an hour you can drive to Bungay or Halesworth, 45 mins to the coast or Norwich. Lots of walks from the door. The interior is a little dark, but I'm sure a great place to escape the city heat in the summer when the wonderful garden can be fully appreciated.
