Guests say

Guests have found 'An Croke' to be a spacious and comfortable cottage with a large garden, ideal for a peaceful retreat. The property's cleanliness and well-equipped kitchen are appreciated, as is its convenient location for exploring Suffolk and nearby areas. The quality of beds and linen is highly regarded, contributing to a restful stay.

The property is generally described as spotlessly clean, with high-quality towels and bed linen. However, some guests noted dirty windows and an unclean microwave, suggesting room for improvement in housekeeping.

The location is praised for its peacefulness and convenience for visiting local attractions. Some guests found it a bit secluded, but this contributes to the tranquillity of the setting.

The property is noted for its comfortable beds and spaciousness. However, some guests found the lounge seating to be old and uncomfortable, particularly for those with mobility issues.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and large TV. However, there are comments about the need for more kitchen utensils, and some maintenance issues like a non-working radiator and wallpaper issues were mentioned.

While guests have mentioned a lack of a welcome pack, which was expected from the property write-up, there are no consistent references to gifts or additional thoughtful touches provided by the host, so a score cannot be given.

A beautiful, well equipped and well furnished property. Excellent beds, linen crockery etc. However the house was let down by poor housekeeping. Windows were very dirty (especially obvious in the recent bright sunlight). Microwave was not clean. Radiator in main bedroom did not work. Throughout the house, the curtains, (very heavy, high quality and full-length) required a good deal of manhandling to clear the radiators when drawn, to enable the heat to warm the rooms. (This last comment is not a complaint, it’s just a shame to have to fold up such beautiful curtains on the windowsills).
