The property is just 1 mile from the concert hall at Snape Maltings, and the popular seaside resorts of Aldeburgh (9 miles) and Southwold (22 miles) make lovely day trips. The holiday home has a country-cottage style, with decor and furniture to complement the property’s original features. The ground floor houses an attractive kitchen with everything needed for a self-catering getaway, as well as a beautiful dining room and cosy lounge with a roaring wood burner. The two pretty bedrooms are upstairs (accessed via their own cottage-style staircases), both with en-suite facilities. Outside, relax in the cottage garden, which has a large lawned area, as well as a sunny patio and BBQ for outdoor dining.
You’ll find plenty to see and do at Snape Maltings. As well as hosting music events throughout the year, the complex is also home to a collection of high-end boutiques and galleries, along with some exceptional restaurants. The area surrounding Snape Maltings is a paradise for walkers, and you can also take boat trips from the quayside. Heading to the coast, you’ll soon reach Aldeburgh with its pebble and shingle beach, long promenade, pastel-coloured houses, popular fish and chip shops, and seafood restaurants – it’s the perfect place for a traditional day at the seaside.
