Nestling on Suffolk’s Heritage Coast, near the seaside fishing village of Dunwich and on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is The Wood Shed. It is a barn conversion, with two bedrooms, a double and a twin, and an open-plan kitchen/dining/living area with a wood-burner. It also boasts a walk-in shower. large windows look out over open fields and woods from this cottage, which is one of a small cluster within the grounds nof the owners home.
These comfortable conversions are within easy reach of forest, heath and beaches and lie in a secluded rural setting. Visitors can enjoy wildlife at Dunwichn Forest or rspb Minsmere. Walberswick, with its sandy beach and dunes, nthe elegant resort of Southwold, Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are all nearby. Shooting, fishing and archery are only 1 mile away. Beach 4 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.. Both properties: Oil central heating (£15per week September-May poa). Electricity, bed linen and towels included. Initial fuel for wood burner included. included. Cot and highchair. Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer (Shared). Games room with air-hockey, table football, table tennis, pool table and board games (Shared). Garden (Shared). Patio with garden furniture. 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times. Parking. Situated in a lovely place but a little of the beaten track. It says fishing nearby, but near by in about 10mins down a one track road. The cottage itself has everything you need .

We had a lovely holiday in this beautiful comfortable barn. Everything needed was there. The views across the countryside were lovely and it was in a peaceful and convenient area for reaching Dunwich, Dunwich Heath, Walberswick and Southwold. Our little rescue dog Mollie settled immediately. We would definitely book again. Many thanks.

A lovely clean, comfortable stay at The Wood Shed. Well equipped kitchen / dining / living area. Comfy beds with good quality bed linen and towels. It was a bonus to have 2 bathrooms and toilets both of which had good showers and lots of hot water. We didn't need to use the log burner but noted there were plenty of logs if we needed to. Easy to find although it is situated in quite a remote area without shops or pubs. The welcome pack contained just wine and biscuits which were gratefully recieved but remember to take milk and teabags with you. The lovely beach at Dunwich is just down the road and Southwold and Aldeburgh within 15 minutes. In all a lovely week away.
