Guests say

Moat Barn in Suffolk offers a spacious and well-equipped stay with a charming mix of art and decor. The property boasts a hot tub, games room, and a large garden, making it ideal for family gatherings. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds and the unique character of the barn, though some noted issues with the AGA and hot tub maintenance.

The property generally received positive remarks on cleanliness, with comfortable beds and well-maintained common areas. However, a few guests mentioned cobwebs, dust, and a dirty hot tub upon arrival, slightly affecting the overall perception.

The location is praised for its peacefulness and beauty, with easy access to local attractions and countryside walks. The presence of a nursery nearby was noted by some guests, but it did not significantly detract from the overall rural charm.

Guests found the property comfortable, with exceptional linen and a cosy atmosphere. Some concerns were raised about the suitability of certain rooms for young children and the heat management upstairs, but these were minor compared to the overall comfort experienced.

The barn is well-equipped with a games room, cinema room, and outdoor facilities. However, several guests encountered issues with the AGA, hot tub cleanliness, and other maintenance aspects, suggesting room for improvement in this category.

While guests enjoyed the facilities and some mentioned a welcome treat of Prosecco and cookies, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category.

We had an issue with a leaky shower, which caused a wet rug in the lounge, the owner was very prompt in sending someone to check it out but advised minimal use for our stay. In the same bathroom a protruding floor tile with sharp edges, not ideal with bare footed children. A hole and large crack in the games room external door, made us feel uncomfortable. Insufficient lighting in dining area. Wi-Fi password incorrect in Welcome Book. Two lightbulbs out in games room. Garden was a great space for the children to burn off some energy. Hot tub was lovely and well positioned. Overall a great weekend, just a few minor issues that need addressing.

Great location went on a walk to a local pub and not much traffic. Games room was fun and hot tub is an added bonus. The only thing that we found difficulty with was the Aga. Even after finding some instructions online and leaving to heat up for over 18hours could still only get one compartment that was able to cook pizzas. So just if you are not familiar don’t plan on cooking a big meal would be my suggestion.

Well stocked for kitchen equipment, towels etc. The garden is kept really nicely and a great space for children and the family to play. Our only slight issue is the Aga, lovely but if you are not used to it, takes a long time to heat up. We would definitely stay again
