If it’s a sunny day, then open up the bi-fold doors and let in the fresh Suffolk air while you’re cooking up a storm. When the food is ready, gather around the dining table and look forward to long and happy meals together. If the sun is shining (which it does a lot in Suffolk!) then you can dine alfresco. The outside space is a real benefit at Tower End Cottage which boasts enclosed tropical garden so you an chill out and relax with a drink in hand; which is what holidays are made of. Woodbridge itself is within walking distance and as an historic market town has loads of fascinating history and lots of interesting shops, bars, boutiques, restaurants and pubs to discover. Take a barge along the river Deben to spot birds (keep an eye out for the elusive avocet!) or indulge in some sailing, cycling or walking, all of which are popular in the area. Other places worth visiting while on a visit to Woodbridge include Sutton Hoo, Aldeburgh, the Bawsdsey Peninsular, Southwold, Dunwich, Framingham Castle and Go Ape Thetford. Woodbridge is a historic riverside market town boasting an outstanding selection of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. The town has been famous for boatbuilding, rope and sail making since the Middle Ages. The working tide mill is a major attraction and a must visit for anyone staying in the area. The River Deben runs alongside the town and is popular for boating, walking and wildlife with wonderful views over to the National Trust site of Sutton Hoo. The town hosts a number of events throughout the year and is a wonderful place to visit.
