Visit an array of local pubs, walk along the stunning Blue Flag beach while sipping your morning coffee, then head into Lowestoft, going past Claremont Pier, putting green, and onto the pavilion, which often has ‘live’ events.
At the beach, try out water sports, swim, and sunbathe. Peruse the local businesses and eateries of Kirkley. Just along the coast to the south are the renowned coastal villages of Southwold, Aldeburgh, and the eccentric Thorpeness. You could also enjoy the Nature Reserve at Minsmere and Dunwich Heath. To the north are the seaside town of Great Yarmouth, the lovely, cathedral city of Norwich, and many excellent Norfolk beaches. Access to the Norfolk Broads is very close by at Oulton Broad. There are castles at Framingham and Orton, as well as stately homes at Somerleyton and Ickworth.
